Perhaps in this strange battle with an invisible, global “enemy” we’ll see the world uniting in surprising solidarity. Our world is rapidly re-learning introversion and making-do in ways most of us have never experienced. Gratefully, there are no bombs, and we are not at war with one another. Once again, I find myself reflecting on Jung’s exploration of “The Way of What is to Come.” There are some uncanny parallels of this global crisis, fear, and rationing to some of the stories we’ve all heard about families bunkered down across Europe in WWII. It is important for us to stay connected to Soul, symbolism, and the unconscious right now, lest we all go mad with the ever changing chaos above ground.įriends, these are extraordinary times.
